" So, we all know those children's books about parents loving their kids forever, to the moon and back, etc and everyone says, "oh, I just cry every time I read that one!" Well, this book -- it's on another level. It STRAIGHT UP RIPPED MY HEART OUT. I was choking to finish reading it to our boy and just so glad it was just before nap time so I could recover afterwards. I am like, shaking with sadness. So poignantly written. Such a sad time in China's history. Maybe it's also because I just really love the people of China... #twothumbsup #dontthinkicanreaditagain #danaashleyreads"
