Enjoying the Woods and the Woods.

Oh my. This place is a like a dream, I tell you. We are loving our time of fresh air, friends and good, good food. Oh, we are thankful to be here. With mountains on every side, it feels like home to me.

Hiked a little piece of the Appalachian Trail today in the Shenandoah National Park. Swimming yesterday at the pool. Steak fajitas and fresh guac, amazing salsa, ice cream. Mmmmmmm. Nutella brownies just came out of the oven. Gotta go!!!

The Zoo!

What a great time with BOTH sets of grandparents! The animals put on quite a show for us. Especially the gorilla babies. They were hilarious. Reminded me so much of my little Noah. Even the big old, gruff daddy gorilla couldn't resist tickling the little boogers.

We have been studying the Madagascar movies quite diligently as well. We managed to see almost every character. Too bad there weren't ostriches in the movie. I thought they were the coolest.

Father's Day Picnic at the Park

My camera died, but this was a great time together. A perfect evening (not without a little southern mugginess, bojangles chicken, and a very un-southern hand drum "band" playing in the background). A storm ran us off after hours of fun on the carousel, train, the playgrounds and grassy spaces.

Blueberry Morning

The farmer's market left us with a bunch of blueberries. This was one yummy venture to use them up.
